Elizabeth Lewis Mezzo-soprano
Having completed her Master of Music Studies in 2010 at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University (QCGU), where she also completed her Bachelor of Music majoring in Classical Voice, Elizabeth is currently under the tutelage of Lisa Gasteen AO.
Elizabeth is an emerging artist in around Brisbane but has also performed inter-state recently performing the role of the Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas for the Bangalow Festival. Local Brisbane audiences will remember her from performances with Belle Strings (WMAC Inc), The Cleveland Symphony Orchestra (now Redlands Sinfonia) and in vocal fundraising concerts such as 2010's Music Under the Stars at Ormiston House. Elizabeth has also performed as a member of the Opera Queensland Chorus and with other Brisbane based groups The Brisbane Concert Choir and Pro Musica Singers. Elizabeth has also performed internationally at two Bel Canto Institute showcase concerts in Florence, Italy 2010.
Elizabeth has also been the recipient of many scholarships and awards such as Elizabeth Muir Scholarship(QCGU), Linda Edith Allen Scholarship (QCGU), Bel Canto Institute Scholarship, Dame Joan Sutherland Award Audition Encouragement Award (Noosa Federation for the Arts) and the South East Aria Competition Encouragement Award and a Lisa Gasteen Opera Summer School Scholarship.
