SAS Performing Arts Company is proud to stream “A Night at the Opera” a virtual concert featuring some of the most beautiful and popular operatic music. The dates of this video on demand streamming event are Saturday June 5 - Sunday June 13.
The program features Michelle Capano, Katherine Chacon, Edwin Jhamal Davis, Michelle Drever, Melissa Joseph, Jonathan Kaufman, Elizabeth Lewis, Camille Sherman, Schyler Vargas, Young Kwang Yoo, and David Young, all who were introduced to the company through the 2020 vocal competition, and some old friends including former Metropolitan Opera luminary Isola Jones, and Grammy award winner international Kammersaengerin Tichina Vaughn. These performers have come together from such diverse locations as Seattle, Los Angeles, Arizona, Atlanta, North Carolina, New York City, and Dresden, Germany for this event.
The program will include such operatic gems as The Barcarolle from Offenbach’s The Tales of Hoffmann, The Quartet from Rigoletto by Verdi, music from Act 3 of Puccini’s La Boheme, as well as selections from operas by Rossini, Mozart, Donizetti, Dvorak, and Strauss.
A Night at the Opera is available for streaming on demand from 12:00 am EDT on Jun 5, 2021 until 11:55 pm EDT on Jun 13, 2021.
